Activity 1:  Ethics -- Responsible Use of Technology

Directions:

Students will be divided into 2 research teams.  Each group will research one topic below and present a brief report (max. 10 minutes) to the class. Think of your report as a series of "talking points" rather than a formal presentation.

Prepare your report using PowerPoint.  Save your presentation to disk, then present it using the computer and projector in the front of the lab. 

• Assess the talents of your group and divvy up the tasks.  Roles include:  facilitator, researcher, presentation designer, and reporter(s). Individuals can perform more than one role, e.g., researcher plus facilitator, researcher plus reporter, etc.

• During your group report, emphaszie the most important points your group discovered and involve group members in the presentation. Please do not exceed the 10-minute time limit.  Please put the names of your group on the title slide for the presentation.
